Just one day after arriving at Mario Zucchelli Station we fly to reach DomeC (Concordia Station).

From the window I can see a wonderful landscape of ice and mountains.

To reach its destination, the plane (a Twin Otter) requires a refueling stop at MidPoint. This place is a small strip in the mid point of MZS DMC route. At MidPoint they keep a lot of avio fuel stocked and an insulated container is available if meteorologic conditions trap the plane here. When necessary, the strip is rebuilt using the snowcat.

Finally we reach Concordia and my adventure enter the most difficult chapter.
